7 Secrets from 7 Years of Marriage

custom ketubah a practical wedding

Hi, friends!

It’s been a while since my last post.  But I have a really good excuse this time!  Because in the last couple of months, we packed up and moved from Madison, Wisconsin to a little town outside of Burlington, Vermont.  We’re still in the process of getting settled, so I’ll share more about that soon.  Instead, today I wanted to tell you about a super special project I just finished for a client…

When Meg Keene of A Practical Wedding reached out to me last month to see if I would be interested in creating a custom Ketubah for her 7 year anniversary with her husband David, I blushed and giggled like a school girl.  You see, Meg is my personal wedding idol.  When I was getting married a few years ago, I fell in love with her book, and have been crushing hard on her one-of-a-kind wedding blog ever since.  And yes, I’m 3 years into marriage, and I still read her wedding blog daily.  So, needless to say, I was insanely flattered by the thought of my artwork hanging on her wall.

I had an awesome time working with her on her ketubah design.  It’s a little vignette of her wedding day – their forested venue with their tiny silhouettes under their chuppah at the bottom.  And then she wrote a blog post about us working together!  It’s called “The 7 Secrets I Learned in 7 Years of Marriage,” and it speaks some serious truth about what love, partnership, and marriage look like 7 years in.  I highly recommend that you pop on over there and read it (and then read everything else on that website, because, yeah.)
