Ketubahs in the news

A few weeks ago, I was quite excited to get a call from a reporter at the Jewish News Service wanting to talk about ketubahs (one of my all-time favorite topics). It turns out he was writing an article about the recent trends in ketubot that are shifting this wedding ritual from legal document to elaborate artwork. I was happy to give him my two cents!

In addition to speaking with me, reporter Jacob Kamaras also spoke with three other ketubah artists whose work I greatly admire: Morgan Friedman, Danny Azoulay and Nishima Kaplan.

The article was recently published, and it’s a great read if you’re interested in both the roots of this wedding tradition and where it’s headed next.
