Brand new custom ketubahs and wedding certificates!

February 9, 2016

Hello!

Ever since I announced last fall that I had a limited amount of time to do custom orders before going on maternity leave, I’ve been busy, busy, busy.  And I couldn’t be more grateful!  Every time I sit down with a client to talk through their vision, I learn something new about illustration and design.  Clients come to me with the most wonderful ideas, and it’s such a privilege to work with them to bring those ideas to life.

Lately, I’ve been working on a lot of designs that feature the landscapes and natural treasures that make this country such an incredibly beautiful place to live.  Here are just a few of the places I’ve had the good fortune to illustrate recently:

LAND’S END, CALIFORNIA CUSTOM KETUBAH

Land's End, California Ketubah

I’d never heard of this magical place before working with Christine and Derek on their custom ketubah, but doesn’t it just capture the imagination?

REDWOODS NATIONAL PARK, CALIFORNIA CUSTOM KETUBAH

Redwoods Ketubah

I had the pleasure of visiting the Redwoods during a family RV trip when I was about 10, but I haven’t had a chance to go back since.  After working with Jennifer and Bryan on this custom ketubah, I’m thinking I’m due for another visit!  These woods were just oozing mystery while I drew.

SMOKEY MOUNTAINS, IDAHO CUSTOM KETUBAH

Smokey Mountains, ID Ketubah

I’d never heard of the Smokey Mountains in Idaho until Lilah and Alex asked for a custom ketubah capturing this mountain range in autumn.  After doing some internet research and browsing their photos, I can see why the place is so important to them!

ZION NATIONAL PARK, UTAH CUSTOM WEDDING CERTIFICATE

Zion National Park Ketubah

After working on this custom wedding certificate with Elizabeth and Christopher, Zion National Park is officially on my bucket list.  Newborns like road trips, right?

With my due date just a few weeks away, I won’t be taking any more custom orders for weddings happening in February – May.  But if you’re getting hitched in June or later, please don’t hesitate to reach out!  Here’s where you can learn more about the process of ordering a custom ketubah or wedding certificate.

The Ink with Intent Team is expanding!

January 26, 2016

Hey there!  It’s been a while 🙂  Over here at the Ink with Intent studio, I’ve been running around doing custom orders, updating my website, and preparing for a very special arrival in a few weeks.  It’s been a little crazy, but in a very good way.

In other news, I’m super excited to announce that, because business has been expanding, the Ink with Intent team is expanding too!  I’ve hired two incredible women to join me as we continue to serve up contemporary ketubahs and wedding certificates in 2016.  Let’s meet these kick-a** ladies, shall we?

Sara Ann LeHoullier will be joining Ink with Intent as a Customer Service Ninja.

Sara Ann LeHoullier

She’ll be the one communicating with you, keeping track of your order (and your wedding date!) to make sure your ketubah or wedding certificate arrives in plenty of time for your big day, and answering any questions you might have along the way.  Fun fact!  Sara Ann lived in Madagascar for over two years, and speaks Malagasy fluently.  When I was interviewing people for the job, I asked her to tell me her favorite thing about weddings.  Her response had me giggling: “Weddings are the perfect combination of union and reunion – I love listening to family members and friends tell the stories of the couple, and seeing the progression of their lives that brought them together through the collective eyes of the people they love. Also watching grandparents booty-dance.

Sarah Resnick will be joining Ink with Intent as a Graphic Design Guru.

Sarah Resnick

She’ll be the one customizing your ketubah or wedding certificate until it’s exactly what you wanted.  She’ll walk you through the proofing process, and answer any of your design or text questions.  Wondering what makes the Conservative (Aramaic) text different from the Conservative Egalitarian text?  Curious about just how many signature lines you can squeeze into that design?  She’s your woman.  And Sarah’s not just a graphic designer – she’s also a weaver and a textile artist.  Her favorite thing about weddings?   “I love seeing how the couples blend together their families’ traditions and cultures into their ceremony.” So true!

So, a big welcome to Sara Ann and Sarah!  Couldn’t be more excited to have you join the team.
